Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari issued its draft notification on Wednesday, he tweeted that a draft notification has been issued declaring ‘Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama Marg’ as a National Highway in Uttar Pradesh. The Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama route is 273 km, passes through 5 districts, it is said that King Dasharatha’s Ayodhya was spread in Chaurasi Kos.
The mythological places associated with Lord Rama are on this 84 Kos Parikrama Marg. The Parikrama Yatra begins from Makhauda Dham in Basti district, located 20 km north of Ayodhya. After visiting the 21 stops falling in five districts, she returns. The names of these districts are Basti, Ambedkarnagar, Barabanki, Gonda and Ayodhya.
