Beijing/Islamabad : After the death of nine Chinese civilians in an explosion in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday, China has taken an aggressive stance, leaving Imran Khan sweating. Amid China’s displeasure, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan called his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on Friday, not only assuring a probe into the blast case, but also pleading for friendship.
Assuring Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Imran Khan said that no stone will be left unturned in the investigation of the incident and action will be taken against the culprits. He assured Li Keqiang of the security of Chinese citizens, workers, projects and institutions in Pakistan, saying it was one of his government’s high priorities. He also talked about providing better medical facilities to the injured Chinese citizens.
During this, Imran Khan, referring to the friendship of Pakistan and China, said that the relations between the two countries have stood the test of time and that ‘any enemy power’ will not be allowed to damage the cordial relations between Pakistan and China. . He also said that Pakistan and China have a deep friendship, which is unbreakable despite many ups and downs. No one will be allowed to break this relationship.
Imran Khan’s call to the Prime Minister of China comes at a time when the Chinese administration has come down hard on the death of 13 people, including nine Chinese nationals, in an explosion in a bus in Dasu area of Upper Kohistan in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday. attitude has been expressed. 39 others have been injured in this. China has called it a bomb blast, while Pakistan has called the accident due to a gas leak.
China will send team
Pakistan later, however, admitted to finding traces of gunpowder in the bus and said that the involvement of terrorists behind it cannot be ruled out. On Thursday, China had also talked about sending a team of experts to Pakistan to investigate the matter.
The bus was carrying Chinese engineers and workers who are helping Pakistan build a dam. The dam is part of the US$60 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). After the explosion, she fell into a deep gorge.
