It is reported that Ishant Sharma has got stitches in his finger. According to the PTI report, Ishant Sharma has got several stitches in the middle finger of his right hand. However, Ishant’s injury is not very serious and he will be fit for the upcoming five-match Test series against England.

PTI quoted a BCCI official as saying, “The stitches on Ishant’s finger will be removed in 10 days and there is about six weeks left for the first Test against England to start. There is every possibility of Ishant recovering by then. It was reported in the report that Ishant Sharma suffered a finger injury while stopping the batsman’s drive on his own ball. The incident happened during the second innings of the World Test Championship. Ishant’s finger was bleeding. He had to leave the field. Ishant’s over was completed by Jasprit Bumrah.

Ishant Sharma has gone to London along with other members of the Indian team for stitches in his finger. The entire Indian contingent is on a 20-day break, which will help them to refresh themselves. After this, the Indian team has to prepare for the tedious five-match Test series against England. The BCCI official said, ‘The entire Indian team has gone to London together. Here everyone will go to their destinations for a break of 20 days.
