ITR Filing: The Income Tax Department has made it easy for the taxpayers to file their returns. Taxpayers can file their Income Tax Return (ITR) at the Common Service Centers (CSCs) of their nearest Post Offices. India Post has already announced the development giving a big relief to many people.

India Post announced this through its official Twitter handle on July 14, it said, “You no longer need to go far to file your Income Tax Return. You can easily access Income Tax Return services at your nearest Post Office CSC counter. Post Office CSC counters spread across the country provide many financial services such as postal, banking and insurance services to the people through a single point. These post office CSC counters provide many government services and information. It also provides many other electronic services to the people.
Better option for offline ones
Taxpayers can access the new Income Tax website https://www.incometax.gov.in./ apart from Post Office CSC. Most of the users are comfortable with online filing but some who may not be tech-savvy can use post office CSC to file their ITR. New income tax portal ‘www.incometax’ on June 7 amid reports of glitches .gov.in’ was launched. As it was facing technical glitches that prompted Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to convene a meeting on June 22 with officials of Infosys, which has developed the new website.
