All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who scored a half-century in the first innings, again batted brilliantly in the second innings. On the basis of his brilliant innings (retired out 51), the Indians (Indian team) declared the second innings at 192 for three on the third day of the three-day warm-up match being played at the Riverside Ground here and took a lead of 283 runs to County XI. A target of 284 runs was set for the win. At the end of the day’s play, the opposing team scored 31 runs without losing a wicket when the match was declared a draw.

County XI’s first innings was all out for 220. Hanuma Vihari 43 and Shardul Thakur remained unbeaten on six for the Indians. Jack Carson took two wickets for County XI.

After wrapping up the County XI in the first innings, the Indians took a strong lead on 51 runs off 77 balls with the help of four fours and a six from Jadeja. In the Indian innings, Mayank Agarwal scored 47 runs in 81 balls with the help of seven fours and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 38 runs in 58 balls with the help of five fours.

Earlier, County XI were supposed to start the first innings at 220 for nine this morning but Avesh Khan could not get to the crease due to injury and his first innings ended here.

For County XI, Craig Miles remained unbeaten on one run off 11 balls. For the Indians, Umesh Yadav took three wickets and Mohammad Siraj took two wickets while Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul, Jadeja and Axar Patel got one wicket each.
