DubaiSri Lanka leg-spinner Vanindu Hasaranga has gained a place to finish his career-best ranking second in the latest ICC T20 International bowling rankings. Hasaranga took two wickets in the first T20 International against India. Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took four wickets for 22 runs in the first T20 International against Sri Lanka, has moved up four places to number 16.
The ICC T20 International men’s rankings were updated based on weekly performances, including the three-match T20I series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh and the last two T20Is between Ireland and South Africa. Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has gained 10 places to move up to 21st place. Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Mujarbani moved up 37 places to 31st. Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera has gained five places to reach 37th position.
At the same time, Shikhar Dhawan has gained five places among the batsmen and he has moved up to 29th place jointly with South African opener Reeza Hendrix. Hendrix gained three places. South Africa’s David Miller has gained 9 places to move up to 33rd place. India’s Suryakumar Yadav moved up 25 places to 42nd. Zimbabwe’s Wesley Medveer gained 59 places to reach number 70.
Australian players gain in ODI rankings
The ICC men’s ODI rankings include the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League series between Australia and the West Indies and the final ODI between India and Sri Lanka. Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood moved up five places to the second spot. Mitchell Starc gained 10 places to reach number 8. Starc was adjudged the player of the series in the ODI series against West Indies.
