Gold/Silver Rate Today 18 June 2021 : Gold and silver prices rose again. On Friday, gold rose by Rs 188 to Rs 46,460 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market. It had closed at Rs 46,272 per 10 grams on the previous trading day. Similarly, silver also rose by Rs 173 to Rs 67,658 per kg. The previous day it had closed at Rs 67,485 per kg. The futures prices of both have also increased. On the other hand, gold was up at $ 1,791 an ounce and silver was also up marginally at $ 26.35 an ounce in the international market.
Whereas, according to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (ibjarates.com), the price of gold fell by Rs 290. While the price of silver declined by Rs 833. Gold futures prices rise
Gold prices on Friday rose by Rs 222 to Rs 47,180 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August rose by Rs 222, or 0.47%, to Rs 47,180 per 10 grams. It had a turnover of 10,853 lots. Market experts believe that buying of fresh positions by the traders led to the rise in gold futures prices. Internationally, gold prices rose 0.95% to $1,791.70 an ounce in New York.
Silver futures prices rise
Silver prices on Friday rose by Rs 981 to Rs 68,580 per kg in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a firm trend at the spot market. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July rose by Rs 981, or 1.45%, to Rs 68,580 per kg. The futures contract was traded for 10,800 lots. Internationally, silver rose by 2.20% to $26.43 an ounce in New York.
