London: India have taken a 1-0 lead in the five-Test series against England. The first match of the series ended in a draw and in the second Test, the Indian team won the match by 151 runs. India kept the hosts under pressure from day one to day five in the match played at the historic Lord’s ground in London. In response to India’s 364 runs in the first innings, the English team scored 391 runs. England got a 27-run lead in the first innings. Ajinkya Rahane
Veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane, who has been out of form for several months, scored at a crucial moment in the second innings of the Lord’s Test. He scored 61 runs in 146 balls with the help of 5 fours. Rahane put on a 100-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara after India lost three wickets for a total of 55.
