Mumbai: After the tragic demise of Bollywood superstar Sridevi in ​​2018, Arjun Kapoor, son of Boney Kapoor from first wife, stood by his father and offered him emotional support. After the death of Sridevi, Arjun’s relationship with his half-sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor also deepened. While the actor had earlier said that he is taking time to develop the relationship with his sisters, it would not be wrong to say that Arjun Kapoor’s bonding with the family is getting better with time.

It was 1996 when Boney Kapoor married Sridevi. Arjun was 12 years old then. Talking about going through tough times after his father’s second marriage, Arjun talks about a school memory in his latest interview. The actor, who made his debut with Ishaqzaade, revealed that his best friends in school used to ask and tease him about his ‘new mother’ Sridevi.

While growing up, he had to go through the divorce of his late mother Mona Shourie and his father. Arjun said, at one point, it became very difficult for him to cope with this as his father was a ‘high profile’ person and his stepmother was a superstar of his time.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, he said, ‘The woman he chose to be with was India’s biggest superstar. If you probably add all the stardom of all the young actors, then you will get the status of a star as big as theirs.’

The actor further said, ‘Your best friends kids in school used to ask ‘how does it feel to be a new mom?’ It wasn’t all that easy. It locks you in a suffocating shell. You become more sensitive about things. I am not speaking to create sympathy or sad story, rather it is reality.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in the recently released film ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’.
