New Delhi : Crores of fans are saddened by the demise of ‘Tragedy King’ Dilip Kumar. There is an influx of tribute to him in the country and the world. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has also paid his heartfelt tribute to actor Dilip Kumar. The veteran Bollywood actor passed away at the age of 98 at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai early Wednesday following a prolonged illness. Several leaders including the President, Prime Minister have paid tribute to the late actor remembering his contribution.

I can never forget him: Imran Khan
Imran Khan said in one of his tweets, ‘Saddened to hear about the demise of Dilip Kumar. I will never forget the generosity he showed to raise funds for SKMTH. Raising the initial 10 per cent of the money for the cancer hospital was the most difficult stage but Dilip Kumar’s programs in Pakistan and London helped in mobilizing this money.

‘Dilip Saab was the most versatile actor’
In another tweet, Imran said, “Also Dilip Kumar was the greatest and most versatile actor of all time for my generation.”

The elderly actor died in the hospital at 7.30 am on Wednesday. His health was deteriorating for the past several days. Abhneta was admitted to the hospital by his wife Saira Bans. Eminent personalities from all walks of life including Bollywood, politics, sports paid tribute to the actor.

Celebrities from all walks of life paid tribute
Dilip Kumar’s family friend Faisal Farooqui shared the news of the veteran actor’s demise. He said, ‘It gives me great pain and pain to inform that our dear Dilip Saab is no more in this world. A few minutes ago he left us all and left. Dilip Kumar is particularly known for the classic Hindi films ‘Mughal-Azam’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’ and ‘Ram Aur Shyam’. In recognition of his contribution to films, the government honored him with Padma Bhushan in 1991 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
