New Delhi : Native social media platform Koo said it handled 54,235 posts from its users in June, while it received complaints about 5,502 posts during this period. Ku said this in the monthly compliance report mandated under IT rules. The company said it is the first Indian social media platform to release its monthly compliance report under the IT regulations that came into force from May 26.

Koo, which has added more than 6 million total users, said its June 2021 report showed that its users complained about 5,502 posts, of which 22.7 percent (1,253) were deleted, while the rest ( 4,249) ‘other action’ was taken.

In an email to PTI, Koo said that he himself proactively took steps to control 54,235 posts, of which 2.2 percent (1,996) were removed completely, while the rest (52,239) were taken against ‘other action’. ‘ done. The ‘Other Actions’ taken by Ku include warnings like Overlay, Blur, Ignore.
