DubaiSouth African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock on Wednesday returned to the top-10 in the ICC Test batting rankings. South Africa made a 2-0 clean sweep of the West Indies in the Test series played under the ICC World Test Championship Series. After this, the ICC has released the latest Test rankings on Wednesday. Indian captain Virat Kohli remains in the fourth position among the batsmen while Australia’s Steve Smith is at the top.

Meanwhile, West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder lost 28 rating points and fell behind Ravindra Jadeja in the list of Test all-rounders. Ravindra Jadeja has returned as the No.1 all-rounder after August 2017. He has 386 rating points, two more than Holder.

Quinton de Kock scored 96 runs in the first innings, which gave him a two-place advantage to move up to 10th place. Cock returned to the top-10 for the first time in 18 months. The 28-year-old wicket-keeper batsman’s best ranking was 6. He was last seen in the top-10 in December 2019.

South Africa’s new Test captain Dean Elgar has gained a place and has moved up to 19th place. Rasi van der Dussen jumped 31 places to move up to 43rd place. Kagiso Rabada gained a place and moved up to sixth. Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj, who took a hat-trick, has gained three places to be at number 28. Lungi Ngidi also moved up three places to 41st in the Test bowling rankings.

West Indies’ Jermaine Blackwood gained 12 places to move up to 44th place. Fast bowler Kemar Roach has also moved closer to the top-10 bowling list. He is in 12th place.
