New DelhiMS Dhoni, the former captain of Team India, is the only captain in the world to win all three ICC trophies (ODI World Cup, T20 World and Champions Trophy). Dhoni achieved this feat on 23 June 2013, when he led India to a memorable victory over England. India won the title by defeating Three Lions in Birmingham in a thrilling match.

The final match was made 20-20 overs due to rain. India had scored 129 runs on the back of Virat Kohli (44) and Ravindra Jadeja (33 not out off 25 balls). However, the Indian bowlers performed brilliantly to restrict England to 124/8 in 20 overs. Dhoni came forward and led the team and made a wonderful change in his bowlers, which helped the Indian team to defend the small target. Apart from using Ishant Sharma at the right time, Dhoni took many other brilliant decisions and got Ashwin the last over.

The ICC made a post on Instagram in honor of former captain MS Dhoni as India completed 8 years of winning the Champions Trophy title. On this, Stuart Broad, a member of the England team in the 2013 final, has made a mysterious comment. Apart from Dhoni standing with the trophy in hand, the ICC also posted a clip of the last ball by Ashwin, who beat James Treadwell and sealed India’s victory. Broad wrote in the comment section, ‘Great spin like the fifth day of the test.’ Broad’s comment made the fans wonder what he was trying to say.

Actually, Ravichandran Ashwin’s last ball had a lot of spin and in Test matches it is usually seen that there is help for the spinners on the last day. Broad may have commented on the same connection. The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 was India’s last ICC title. After this, India came close to the trophy in many ICC tournaments, but could not win the title. The Virat Kohli-led Indian team is currently taking on New Zealand in Southampton for the WTC Finals trophy.
