India and England face each other in the second Test at Lord’s. The Indian team was bundled out for 364 runs in the first innings on the second day on Friday. After this, England had a poor start in the first innings and their two batsmen Dominic Sibley (11) and Haseeb Aham (0) were returned cheaply to the pavilion. Both these wickets were taken by fast bowler Mohammad Siraj. After England’s two wickets fell, captain Joe Root came to the ground, whom the Indian team looked very desperate to get out. In this affair, India also lost one of its reviews.

Kohli took the review even after Pant’s refusal

After dismissing Sibley and Haseeb, a ball from Siraj hit Root on the pads. Team India appealed for LBW, to which the umpire did not pay any heed. After this, captain Virat Kohli decided to take the Decision Review System (DRS). Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also appealed for out, but he did not seem to agree to take a review. He explained a lot to Kohli not to take a review. However, the Indian captain remained adamant and took the DRS, to no avail. The review was not in favor of India.

The review clearly showed that the ball was pitching outside the off-stump and was not hitting the wickets. By the way, while taking the DRS, Kohli was also confused and was seen laughing. He discussed with fellow players but the result remained against India. India lost two reviews on the second day of the Lord’s Test. Let us tell you that Kohli’s record in taking DRS has not been special. Kohli has so far taken 167 DRS as fielding captain, of which he has lost 116.
