Shakib: Shakib al Hasan becomes highes ODI wicket taker for Bangladesh leaving behind Mashrafe Mortaza
Shakib-al-Hasan new ODI Record: The legendary all-rounder of Bangladesh cricket team Shakib Al Hasan has made a new record in ODI cricket.

Bangladesh cricket team’s legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan on Friday created a new record in ODI cricket. Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by 155 runs in the first match of the ODI series played in Harare against Zimbabwe to take a 1-0 lead in the series and during this Shakib played a key role and made a big record in his name.
In this match, Bangladesh had set a target of 276 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs on the basis of Liton Das’s century innings (102 runs). To answer, the first blow to the Zimbabwe cricket team was given by Shakib Al Hasan on the score of four runs in the form of Marumani and after that Shakib Al Hasan did not stop.
Shakib Al Hasan’s ‘Punch’
Shakib, showing his amazing spin, took 5 wickets in 9.5 overs, conceding a total of 30 runs. During this he also bowled 3 maiden overs. Bangladesh bowled out Zimbabwe for 121 runs in 28.5 overs on the basis of Shakib’s superb bowling.
Mashrafe Mortaza’s record broken
Along with this excellent performance, Shakib has also made a big record in his name. Now he has become the highest wicket-taker in Bangladesh’s ODI history. Earlier this record was registered in the name of Mashrafe Mortaza. Mortaza took 269 wickets in his ODI career. Whereas now Shakib Al Hasan has taken 274 wickets in 213 ODIs. 6474 runs are also recorded in the name of this all-rounder in ODI cricket.
