Saint Lucia: Australia beat West Indies by 4 runs in a thrilling 4th T20I match played in St Lucia on Thursday. Australia won the toss and batted first and scored 189 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. In reply, West Indies team could score 185 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Mitchell Marsh (75 runs and three wickets) was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance.

With this, Australia tasted the first win on the ongoing West Indies tour. Australia reduced the margin of loss to 1-3 in the current five T20 Internationals. The fifth and final T20 International match of the series will be played on Saturday according to the Indian calendar.

Chasing the target of 190 runs, West Indies got off to a great start with the partnership of 62 runs for the first wicket by Lendl Simmons (72) and Evin Lewis (31). Zampa gave the first blow to the hosts by bowling Lewis. After this, ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle (1) was caught by Marsh at the hands of Behrendorf and gave a big blow to the West Indies.
