Reportedly 600 flying saucers were sighted and in about half the cases – 290 affected the safety of aircraft at close range. Of those, 81 pilots reported that they caused electromagnetic effects on one or more fighter jets. Dominic F. Weinstein’s 25-page report concluded, “This analysis confirms the potential impact on aviation safety.”

According to the report, the aircraft’s autopilot system failed to function normally in three incidents. In 31 cases, pilots struggled to avoid collisions with flying saucers, and in five close encounters, several people were injured.
