Gold/Silver Rate Today 16 July 2021 : Gold and silver prices fell today after a continuous increase for several days. According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 73 to Rs 47,319 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday. It had closed at Rs 47,392 per 10 grams on Thursday. On the other hand, Chanti fell by Rs 196 to Rs 68,043 per kg. The previous day it had closed at Rs 68,239/kg. Futures prices of both also declined. On the other hand, gold was trading flat at $ 1,823 an ounce and silver at $ 26.13 an ounce in the international market.

According to the website of Dia Bullion and Jewelers Association (ibjarates.com), the price of gold fell by Rs 151. While the price of silver declined by Rs 321. Gold prices on Friday fell by Rs 136 to Rs 48,264 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators offloaded their positions amid weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August fell by Rs 136, or 0.28%, to Rs 48,264 per 10 grams. It had a turnover of 7,866 lots. Market experts attributed the loss in gold prices to traders cutting their deals. Internationally, gold fell 0.27% to $1,824 an ounce in New York.

Silver futures fall in prices

Silver prices on Friday fell by Rs 301 to Rs 69,380 per kg in futures trade as participants reduced their positions on weak spot demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver futures for delivery in September fell by Rs 301, or 0.43%, to Rs 69,380 per kg. The futures contract was traded for 10,532 lots. Internationally, silver fell 0.53% to USD 26.26 an ounce in New York.
