Australia tour of Bangladesh 2021: The Australian cricket team’s ‘super-fast’ tour of Bangladesh has been announced. It is being called super-fast because a five-match T20 series will be played within a week on this Bangladesh tour of Australia to be held next month. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) gave this information on Thursday. All matches of the series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from August 3 to 9.

The Australian team will tour Bangladesh for the first time after playing a two-Test series in 2017. The team will reach Dhaka on July 29. BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said in a statement issued here, “BCB and Cricket Australia went through a lot of hard work to confirm the itinerary. It was naturally a challenge due to the COVID-19 pandemic as ensuring health and safety is a priority for any cricket series at this point in time.

The Australian players will be in isolation in their rooms in the hotel for three days before resuming practice after arriving here. Usually in foreign team tours, there is a considerable gap between matches but this tour is of only one week between which both the teams will have to play 5 T20 matches. In this way the fatigue of the players can be gauged.
