Canada’s Department of Transport said Canada has extended its ban on direct passenger flights from India until September 21 as the South Asian country struggles to contain the spread of COVID-19 within its borders. Based on the latest public health advice from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Transport Canada is extending the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), which allows all direct commercial and private passenger flights from India to Canada, to 21 days, the department said in a statement. Restricts until September, 2021 at 23:59.
However, Canada welcomes fully vaccinated Americans into the country. Ottawa removed the quarantine requirements for US citizens and permanent residents who came with proof of vaccination.
Last week, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced exceptions for new categories of travelers from India and five other countries. Travelers who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a valid UAE residency permit will be allowed entry into the UAE.
At least 14 days should have passed after receiving the second dose of vaccine. For this they should also have a certificate. The judgment includes those in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda. The UAE government said that in certain categories of jobs, unvaccinated people can seek permission to return.
