London : New cases of corona infection in Britain have once again increased. Here the figure of one day of daily infection has been found the highest after the month of February. On Wednesday, 9,055 new cases of infection were reported in Britain. This is the highest number of infections in a single day after February 25. Compared to a day earlier, this number is being told five times. The reason for the increase in infection is the new variant of corona which is rapidly infecting people.
Government extends restrictions for a month
According to reports, in view of the increase in cases of infection, the UK government has extended the Corona restrictions for a month. The government says that during this time it will further intensify its vaccination campaign. Nine more people have died from Corona in the last 28 days in Britain. On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson extended the lockdown restrictions for a month. This decision has been taken in view of the rapidly spreading infection from the delta variant of Kovid-19.
Britain will intensify the vaccination campaign during this time
Addressing a press conference, Johnson said, ‘I think it is more appropriate to wait a little longer.’ The Corona restrictions were to be lifted on June 21 but will now remain in force till July 19. The Prime Minister said that during this time people will be vaccinated rapidly. This will save the lives of thousands of people.
Speeding up the transition from the delta variant
UK health experts say that the delta variant of corona found in India for the first time is 60 percent more infectious than the earlier variant. Experts believe that the delta variant can cause the third wave of the epidemic in the country. Since the start of the epidemic in Britain, 128,000 people have died so far.
