London: The second Test between India and England is going on at Lord’s Cricket Stadium, which is called the Mecca of cricket. At the historic Lord’s ground, the spectators did something that no one could have imagined. Indian cricketer KL Rahul was fielding on the boundary line on Saturday. The spectators at Lord’s misbehaved and hurled champagne corks at the cricketer. The incident happened in the 69th over of England’s innings when the audience’s poor attitude was seen against Rahul.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli intervened and KL was seen pointing to Rahul to get more details about the incident. An over later TV visuals showed several champagne corks being thrown inside the ground, leaving the Indian players very disappointed. Talking about the match, England captain Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow did not allow the Indian bowlers to achieve success in the first session of the third day.

England had a score of 216/3 during the lunch break. The hosts are currently 148 runs behind India’s score with seven wickets remaining. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow faced 28 overs and scored 97 runs in the first session. The hosts did not lose a single wicket during this period. English captain Joe Root had completed his half-century in the second over of the day.
