Team India has suffered a setback just before the opening match of the Test series between India and England starting on August 4 (Wednesday). The Indian cricket team was practicing in the nets in Nottingham, during which Mayank Agarwal, who was practicing batting, got injured. He has suffered a head injury, due to which the BCCI has announced his exclusion from the first Test by tweeting.

Team India’s opener Mayank Agarwal was practicing batting in the nets in Nottingham on Monday when a ball from Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj hit him on the head. The BCCI said in its latest information that since the initial signs of concussion are visible, it has been decided to keep Mayank out of the first Test.
