Bristol: Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj has created history. In the first ODI against England on Sunday, he accomplished a big feat as soon as he took the field for the toss. Mithali’s ODI career has completed 22 years and she has become the first woman cricketer to play for such a long time. Along with this, Mithali has also entered the list, in which till now only the name of the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was there. She has become the second cricketer after Sachin to play One Day International cricket for 22 years.

Mithali made her debut at the age of 16

Sachin Tendulkar played for 22 years and 91 days while Mithali’s ODI career took 22 years and a day. Mithali made her ODI debut for India at the age of 16 against Ireland in June 1999 and has since been a vital part of the Indian women’s team across all formats. She is currently 38 years old and is showing no signs of putting an end to her career. He has made many records in his name till now. She is the only player to score more than 6,000 ODI runs in women’s cricket. Mithali is the first Indian woman cricketer to complete 10,000 international runs.

Mithali Raj has so far scored 7098 runs in 214 matches at an average of 51.06 in ODIs. At the same time, he scored 669 runs in 18 innings of 11 Test matches at an average of 51.00. He scored 2,364 runs in 89 matches at an average of 37.52 in T20 Internationals. Mithali has scored a record 76 half-centuries and eight centuries in her career. He scored 55 fifties and 7 centuries in ODIs and 17 fifties in T20s. Mithali scored just one century in Test matches, which she scored (214 runs) against England at Totten in 2002. She was the youngest player to score a double century in Women’s Test at the age of 19.
