Indian captain Virat Kohli has expressed his disappointment over two World Test Championship (WTC) points being deducted for slow over-rates after the first Test against England. Apart from deducting two points for slow over rates between India and England, both the teams were also fined 40 per cent of their match fees.
Talking to the media on Wednesday, Virat Kohli said, “As a team, we were disappointed that we lost two points because it is a reason that is not in our hands. We were two overs behind but we finished second. Bowled a few overs early in the innings.”
“There are small things where we have to save 10-15 seconds that matter a lot and we did the same practice in the second innings. Those points matter a lot,” he said.
