Deepak Hooda: Deepak Hooda leaves Baroda Cricket Team after spat with Krunal Pandya

Vadodara: Veteran batsman Deepak Hooda left the Baroda cricket team last season following a tussle with skipper Krunal Pandya. He has got NOC from Baroda Cricket. Union secretary Ajit Lele confirmed this to PTI. Deepak Hooda’s departure is being seen as a huge loss for Baroda.

In January, the BCA suspended Hooda, who had left the state team camp before the start of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, on charges of indiscipline and insult to the game. Hooda had claimed that Krunal had misbehaved with him and that Captain Pandya used to abuse him in front of everyone.

Former India fast bowler Irfan Pathan called the development a ‘big loss’. He said, “How many cricket associations will lose a player who is in the Indian team’s probables list. Deepak Hooda’s departure is a big loss for Baroda. He could have served the team for another ten years.
