However, Naresh Tumda’s life story is different. Tumda was part of the Indian cricket team that won the Blind World Cup in 2018 by defeating Pakistan in Sharjah. After the World Cup win, Naresh Tumda is struggling to make ends meet and is now working as a laborer to survive.
Naresh Tumda started playing cricket only at the age of 5 and showed his talent and achieved the title of talented cricketer. Due to his distinctive style and brilliant batting, Naresh got a place in the Gujarat team in 2014. Soon Tumda got a call from the national team and got an opportunity to play for India. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainties of the economic situation, Tumda has to work as a laborer to earn his living.

I have requested the government to give me a job so that I can run my life.

He said that the money left from selling vegetables cannot meet the needs of the family. So the king decided to work as a laborer and picked up bricks. Naresh Tumda, 29, has to stand firm and face these odds as his parents are old and can’t help.

Tumda had said in a conversation with the Times of India, ‘When the Indian cricket team wins the World Cup, the government and companies rain money on them. Are we short players because we are blind? Society should treat us equally.
