London: Indian pacer Shardul Thakur has a tough time playing the second Test at Lord’s starting on August 12. Thakur suffered some hamstring problem while practicing while preparing for the second test. The progress of Shardul Thakur is being looked into and a final decision on his playing will be taken before the match. Team India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin can replace Thakur in the playing XI.
The addition of Ravichandran Ashwin will also add depth to the batting of the Indian team. Ashwin, who has played 79 Tests, has scored 2685 runs with the help of five centuries and 11 half-centuries. Recently, Ashwin had performed brilliantly while playing for Surrey in county cricket. In the second innings against Somerset at The Oval, Ashwin took 6 wickets for just 27 runs. After this, when Ashwin was not included in Trent Bridge, many people raised questions.
England’s trouble also increased
The England cricket team is also troubled by the injured player. Fast bowler Stuart Broad has injured his right calf while practicing. Broad, 35, will have to go through the scans and it will be known only after the results are out whether he will play in the second Test. England have called off spinner Moeen Ali in their team. Ali last represented England against India in the second Test in Chennai. After this, he returned home due to the rest and rotation policy of the ECB.

All three were part of the first test.
