Posting the video, BCCI wrote, “When Team India in Durham cheered for Team India in Colombo. From the dressing room to the dining room and then to the bus, not a single moment of this memorable victory was missed.”

Apart from this, regular Indian captain Virat Kohli in every format present in England also congratulated the Indian ODI team by tweeting. Virat lauded this memorable win which was achieved in tough conditions. He also congratulated Deepak Chahar and Suryukmar Yadav on their respective maiden ODI fifties.

It is worth noting that the Indian ODI team, chasing the target of 276 runs set by Sri Lanka in Colombo on Tuesday night, seemed to be heading for defeat at one point. India lost their 7 wickets for 193 runs.

But after this the pair of Deepak Chahar (69 not out) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (19 not out) shared a brilliant eighth-wicket partnership to give India a three-wicket win with five balls to spare. With this, India also took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series.
