Younis left the post of Pakistan cricket team’s batting coach ahead of the England tour, due to which there has been a lot of uproar. Younis has not spoken clearly about his resignation, due to which speculation continues. Now several media reports have claimed that Younis has resigned because of Hasan Ali’s refusal to bathe in icy waters during his tour of South Africa.

‘There was a heated debate on the ice bath’

The Pakistan team went on a tour of South Africa in April this year, where it played three ODIs and four T20 matches. According to the news, the dispute between Younis Khan and fast bowler Hasan Ali took place in the T20 match played at Centurion. Younis had gone to the dressing room to meet Hasan after the match when the two had a heated argument over an ice bath. Hassan had categorically refused to take an ice bath, due to which Younis was very angry. Even the members of the coaching staff had to intervene to intervene between the two.

T20 World Cup was signed till 2022

It is worth noting that earlier another report had said that Younis Khan decided to step down as the coach following the alleged misbehavior by a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official. It was also reported that PCB chairman Ehsan Mani and CEO Wasim Khan tried to resolve the matter by talking to Younis but the former captain said that he did not want to continue as batting coach. Let us tell you that Younis was appointed by the PCB as the batting coach for two years. His contract was till the T20 World Cup to be held in 2022.
