Colombo: Vanindu Hasaranga (4 wickets and 14* runs) and Dhananjay de Silva (24*) helped Sri Lanka beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the third and final T20I on Thursday. With this, the host team won the series 2-1 in three T20 International matches. Remind that India had won the three-match ODI series played 2-1 earlier.
This is the first time that Sri Lanka defeated the Indian team in the T20 International series. Earlier, 4 T20 International series were played between the two teams, in which India emerged victorious in three, while one series did not result. Sri Lanka recorded its seventh win over India in 22 matches in T20 Internationals. With this, India’s winning chariot of winning 8 consecutive series in T20 International series came to an end.
In the third and final T20 International match played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Team India won the toss and decided to bat first.
