Mumbai : Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, arrested for creating and airing porn content on the app, sold his app ‘Hotshots’ to UK-based Kenrin Pvt Ltd. The owner of this company is his brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi. However, Kundra was looking after the business of this company from Mumbai itself. Mumbai Police said this on Tuesday. Police say that Raj used these tactics to mislead the investigating agencies. This sensational case has exposed yet another dark truth of Bollywood.
Raj Kundra is in police custody till July 23
Raj was questioned by the Mumbai Police for several hours on Monday in connection with the making of pornographic content. In February last, the Mumbai Police received information that the shooting of a pornographic film was going on in a bungalow in Mud, Malad. When the police raided the bungalow on this information, the shooting of a pornographic film was going on there. Police arrested five people from here. In the investigation of the case, the links of this case were linked to Raj Kundra. After gathering enough evidence against Raj, the police called him for questioning after which he was arrested. The police on Tuesday produced Raj before the fort court from where he was remanded in custody till July 23.
‘Hotshots’ sold for $25,000
According to the TOI report, Raj’s IT head Ryan Thorpe has also been arrested in the case. Police has already arrested nine people in this porn content racket case. Police say that Raj used to show porn videos to people through his ‘Hotshots’ app. After the matter came to light, the ‘Hotshots’ app has been removed from the mobile platform. Police say that Kundra used to supply pornographic material to this UK-based company. He also used to oversee the business of this company from his Vian Industries office. Kundra sold Hotshots for $25,000 in 2019.

Police say they have found other evidence, including clips, from Kundra’s office, while Kundra’s lawyers A Ponda and Subhash Jadhav allege that the arrest is illegal as the police did not follow the Code of Criminal Procedure.
